Pediatric Care
Children's bodies grow and develop in relatively short periods of time.

For most children, the process is effortless and measured simply in how fast they outgrow their clothes or toys. Sometimes, however, an acute injury such as a fracture or congenital problem can interrupt the normal developmental process. It is crucial that those injuries or diseases be treated effectively and with special consideration for the needs and concerns associated with caring for a child.

At the Human Motion Institute, our staff understands that a child's musculoskeletal system is different than an adult's, requiring a specialized type of care...and a specialized type of caring.

We treat all children as if they were our own, recognizing that children's bodies and minds are special and must be cared for accordingly. That's why at the Human Motion Institute we have medical professionals who are trained to treat children's musculoskeletal injuries. Our staff combines the use of compassionate care with leading-edge technological advancements to develop a plan of care that is personalized to fit the needs of each child we care for. It is our practice to exhaust every appropriate treatment option before considering surgery. However, if a surgical procedure becomes the right choice, our team of specialists is trained to correct problems specifically related to children. The Human Motion Institute physicians, occupational and physical therapists, and other staff members work tirelessly to achieve the ultimate goal of helping each child reach maximum function as quickly and safely as possible. We employ a team of medical professionals who are well versed in treating a variety of conditions affecting children, including:

- Cerebral Palsy
- Club foot
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Perthes' Disease
